MY HUSBAND, THE GENIUS.

We are doing some remodeling in our kitchen. My husband fearlessly cut great, big holes in the kitchen wall and I can toss my laundry right down the basement steps. (Mmmm, maybe we should leave it this way...) It also means we will be able to store more of our favorite snacks, loved by most senior citizens.
These are some of the tools used by a genius! My tools are knitting needles, crochet hooks and such, so I am not sure what all of these are, but they do the trick!
My husband not only is a genius, he also does a great job of cleaning up! That's why we get along so well! Oh, and did I tell you he is a great cook, also?

FREEFORM

I have admired 'freeform' work for a long time. I thought the New Year would be a good time to try it!
This is my first attempt and I can't wait to start my second piece!

I LOVE SHEEP!!!

It took a few weeks to get settled in our new location, and I love getting back to some 'art work' again! Some of those boxes are just going to have to wait to be opened............

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!!

TOY BOX

The year was 1963 and life was simple.
First we had fun in the bathtub, then we put on our 'Dr.Denton' sleepers and then we would try to grab a cool toy out of our brothers' toy box.......

CROCHETING FOR A CHANGE....

I decided to do some crocheting for a change. My granddaughter wanted to learn how to do that, so I couldn't let her down, could I? That meant going online to 'refresh' my skills, since I had not done any crocheting for many years.........

I tried a few simple things and I have had a lot of fun doing these coasters. Another great item to add to my 'quick, last minute gift' stash! I like to use strips of fabric to hold a set of four coasters together.

BABY GIFT OR WASHCLOTH

An all-time favorite: the humble dish/wash cloth! Such fun to make and with today's wonderful yarns at our disposal, they are always a welcome item to give or to use.
I always have some of these ready for an unexpected small gift. This is perfect for a baby shower, or just to welcome a new neighbor.

I love making my own gift tags and cannot resist buying cute scraps of fabric whenever I allow myself to visit a fabric shop!

Visit my Etsy shop to look at other items.

The gift tag is blank on the backside.

HAND FELTED NECKLACE FOR BLYTHE

This necklace is made for Blythe, using hand felted beads in luscious colors.
She will be the envy of all her friends!

Available in my Etsy shop.

These beads even look great on a bird! She was somewhat confused about the many beads in different colors, but she decided you can never go wrong wearing PATRIOTIC colors!
So we will call this picture:
'BIRDS AND BEADS', (not 'birds and bees'!!)
